The third project newsletter is out!
This week we released the third newsletter of TangIn project with the latest news about the project developments and the upcoming plans.
In this edition of the newsletter the focus is on the teachers training course held in the beginning of January in Aveiro, Portugal. Participant teachers have provided detailed insights and feedback that are fundamental for the research team of the project.
We also present the structure of the toolbox of educational resources that is being developed in the framework of the project, for teachers at primary school level, use in their classes with STEM-based topics. The toolbox contains a set of lesson plans, ready to use, with attractive exercises and activities that will allow students to learn while playing. The resources are developed in a way that teachers will be teaching a given subject (e.g. basic arithmetic operations) while also showing and teaching concepts of tangible programming, developing students reasoning competences, while fostering group work, communication and active listening, transforming the classroom in a more inclusive space.
The next steps include a pilot experimentation period of four months where teachers that have been trained in the TangIn teachers training course, will peer-train other colleagues at their local schools, and together will test some of the educational activities that the toolbox proposes.
